Program Description
Join local farmer, David Fisher for a soil improvement presentation over Zoom on Sunday, February 16th at 5pm. David has been the lead farmer at Natural Roots in Conway for decades using draft horses. David will share his approach to soil improvement through mineralization, crop rotation, and cover crops, with plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion.
The previously scheduled in-person field walk to assess the Fabric of Life vegetable garden and the lower field, which was plowed with oxen and planted with broom corn, wheat, and pumpkins has been cancelled due to the continued winter storm and icy road conditions.
This workshop is appropriate for beginning farmers, home gardeners, and growers with many years of experience
