On June 16, 2024, Fabric of a Life will host award winning musicians, Troy MacGillivray and Mari Black for an afternoon of traditional Cape Breton Fiddle Music!

Fiddlers: Sign up for a fiddle workshop starting at 2:30pm, where Troy and Mari will teach tunes and coach on the well known and driving Cape Breton traditional dance music style. Learn some great tunes along with the plenty of tips and tricks with their clear and gentle coaching on style and ornamentation at an accessible level. This intimate workshop will take place in the Farmhouse living room at 80 Bassett Road in Shelburne, MA. Register for fiddle workshop.

At 5pm, we will reconvene at the Buckland Public Hall at 15 Upper St, Buckland, MA where Troy and Mari will play a lively Cape Breton Fiddle Concert. The evening will be complete with food, festivities and a square set! The concert is open to all, so invite your friends and come enjoy a lively concert at the lovely Buckland Public Hall. In the evening, we will enjoy an old style Cape Breton House Party. What is that? — Stick around and find out!
