Workshop: 9AM to 12PM EST
During the morning workshop, Master Printmaker John Marcy will incorporate his extensive experience with traditional methods of printmaking as he demonstrates his process of digital photo editing. John says “it is perfectly possible to make a beautiful digital print that that pushes back against the standard digital look.” During this workshop, he will teach participants how he works with photo negatives and digital images to produce archive quality prints.

John Marcy has been involved in various aspects of photographic work for over 40 years. His work in black-and-white printmaking for important contemporary and historically important photographers has been exhibited in many venues, including The Museum of Modern Art, The Wadsworth Atheneum, The National Museum of Women in the Arts, The Worcester Art Museum and a traveling exhibition for the National Geographic Society. John’s work on the 21st Editions Collections was on display in the National Gallery of Art this summer.
