COVID Safety Practices
Given the unknown landscape of COVID-19, we are planning our program season with adherence to CDC and state recommendations, which we will update if recommendations change. It is critical that each student recognizes their personal role and responsibility in maintaining the health and well-being of themselves and those around them.
Students who do not follow the safety protocols will be asked to leave the workshop without receiving a refund. Regardless of whether students have received vaccines or not, the following measures will be in place:
- Most classes will take place outside in the barn studio, which allows for ample amounts of fresh air.
- Students will maintain appropriate physical distancing of 6 feet if they are not vaccinated whether indoors or outdoors, if they are not masked.
- Hand sanitizer and handwashing stations will be available for use throughout the day.
- Students will be asked to regularly wipe down their workspaces if shared equipment is being used.
- All non-vaccinated students will wear masks while inside of the Farmhouse if they cannot maintain physical distance.
- Fabric of Life will contract with cleaners to routinely clean the bathrooms, classroom spaces and the common areas throughout the week.
- Signs will be posted sharing regulations and protocols regarding entering and leaving spaces and other important guidelines
- Any concern around symptoms that may be COVID-related will require immediate reporting of information to staff and immediate departure from the program.
Refund Policies
With more than 30 days cancellation notice:
FOL will refund 90% of your fee if you cancel more than 30 days before the beginning of the program. 10% will be retained for administrative services.
If a student contracts COVID-19 before the program begins and is unable to attend the program at all as a result, a full refund will be provided minus the 10% retained for administrative costs; this will require a doctor’s letter and/or a positive COVID test result to be submitted.
With less than 30 days cancellation notice:
FOL will automatically be rolled over as a credit for another program of your choice within the next year from the date of the original program. FOL will maintain the funds and carry them forward once you determine what program you would like to utilize them for. If there is a balance after paying for the second program, it will not be refunded.
If a student becomes sick with COVID-19 during the program and has to leave there will be no refund given, however any instructional videos or handouts may be provided.
If a program does not run:
If a program does not run due to circumstances beyond our control, participants will receive a full refund of the fees paid.
* Safety Practices and Refund policies as it relates for our 8-week Väv Immersion program are dealt with in a different manner. Please see program materials for more information.
